What Comes Next…

Since announcing my campaign for Mayor, I’ve been having a lot of conversations about what comes next for Chilliwack.

We’re a growing community, and with that growth comes both opportunity and responsibility. How do we keep Chilliwack affordable? How do we keep our neighbourhoods safe? How do we make sure roads, infrastructure and services keep pace? And how do we grow without losing the character and sense of community that make Chilliwack such a great place to call home?

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing the priorities that will guide my campaign — and, if I’m fortunate enough to earn your support, my work as Mayor.

After 15 years on Council, I’ve learned that it’s easy to make promises. The harder part is making them work. Every decision has a cost, a trade-off and an impact somewhere else.

So rather than releasing a long list of promises, I’ll be sharing my priorities one at a time — talking about what I believe we can realistically accomplish and continuing to listen to residents along the way.
