Welcome to the personal and (not so) professional blog of Jason Lum – Serial Entrepreneur. I have never been very good at describing myself (my wife would tell you different) so barring a sudden influx of creativity in the next ten seconds I will have to post this standard, less than stellar, bio written a few years ago for an organization I helped found.
Jason Paul Lum – Bio
Jason is a co-founder and partner at the Myriad Group of Companies, his most recent position as the Chief Strategist & Director of Business Development. Prior to his position with Myriad, Jason worked as a Systems Administrator for the Tempest Development Group, assisting in the development of a multimillion dollar automated water and wastewater system for the City of Chilliwack. Jason has also worked as a civilian Network Administrator for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and as a freelance Project Manager in numerous IT related endeavors. Jason has a proven track record in networking architecture, design, and project management and brings a great deal of creative problem solving and a gifted design ability to the table.
A long-time resident of Chilliwack, Jason volunteers his time with a number of community organizations including, Chilliwack Community Services, the Rotary Club of Chilliwack, and Chilliwack Youth Services. Jason is the current President of the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce (youngest in its 106 year history) he also represents the community as a board member for the Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation & the Sto:lo Development Corporation.
Jason and his wife Sheila, a youth development worker, share their home in Yarrow with two cats, one dog, and no children! When not at work or travelling Jason enjoys gardening, reading, hanging out with his large extended family, and starting companies – of which he owns five.
